As a Recruiter on our People & Places team, you will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts focused on attracting candidates who share a genuine passion for fishing and the outdoors. In this full-time role, you will partner closely with hiring managers to understand talent needs, design effective sourcing strategies, and ensure a positive candidate experience from first contact through offer. Leveraging your HR and recruiting expertise, as well as your familiarity with tools like Rippling, you will be instrumental in building a team culture that values both professional excellence and a shared love of fishing.
What You'll Do
Manage full-cycle recruiting for a variety of roles, from intake meeting through sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer, and onboarding handoff.
Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and interview plans tailored to candidates who appreciate fishing and outdoor culture.
Source and engage candidates through multiple channels (job boards, social media, referrals, fishing and outdoor communities, events, etc.).
Screen candidates for both competency and culture add, with specific attention to alignment with our fishing-oriented mission and values.
Coordinate and facilitate interviews, ensuring a structured, consistent, and candidate-friendly process.
Use Rippling and other HR/recruiting tools to manage requisitions, track candidates, schedule interviews, and maintain accurate records.
Communicate proactively with candidates to provide timely updates, feedback, and a strong overall candidate experience.
Collaborate with the People & Places team to continuously improve recruiting processes, tools, and metrics.
Track key recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, source effectiveness, etc.) and share insights with stakeholders.
Support employer branding initiatives, including content and events that highlight our fishing culture and outdoor-focused community.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a related HR role.
Proven experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes across multiple roles or departments.
Hands-on experience using Rippling or similar HRIS/ATS platforms for recruiting and candidate management.
Strong sourcing skills with the ability to identify and engage relevant talent through various channels.
Demonstrated ability to assess both technical/role-specific skills and cultural alignment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on candidate care and stakeholder partnership.
Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple open roles and priorities simultaneously.
Comfort working with data and metrics to inform recruiting strategies and decision-making.
Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for fishing and outdoor activities, with the ability to connect with candidates who share this passion.
