Health and Welfare Overview Our client is seeking a seasoned professional to assist with recruiting, hiring, leave administration, including work with the FMLA, and additional human resources activities to include: paperwork preparation (selection, hiring, staffing, etc.) as well as leave management-related activities. Duties
Providing recruitment and hiring support; ensures that position descriptions accurately reflect requirements, participates in applicant pre-screens and interviews, assists managers in staffing decisions, and prepares paperwork (selection, hiring, staffing, etc.) for review and approval.
Participating in related recruiting activities (e.g., attending in-person and virtual job fairs, campus events, etc.).
Assisting with employee check-in, orientation, and check-out processes.
Assisting with leave program administration; processes Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Leave Share requests.
Providing general leave guidance to managers and employees.
Maintaining appropriate information in the HR document tracking system for designated offices.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or comparable years of experience required. SHRM, HRCI or other industry related certifications preferred
Minimum 3 years' experience in related functional area of 1) recruiting, screening and interviewing candidates for a variety of job types and/or 2) leave administration including, providing guidance on leave programs, verifying FMLA eligibility, and tracking compliance with relevant leave policies
Minimum 3 years' experience with applicant tracking systems or other human resources information systems required
Must be well-versed in Outlook, Excel and be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
Experience working with the Chief Administrative Officer at the House of Representatives preferred
Experience with Cornerstone, Infor, and BMC Remedy is a plus
