Opportunity DetailsRecruiting Mentors for 6th Grade StudentsUrban Community School | Community School is recruiting mentors for our Wolfpack Program beginning this fall 2025. The commitment from the volunteer is to join two other mentors who team with a UCS 6th grade student. Together they form a Wolfpack. They help the student understand and appreciate the power of relationships. They and other Wolfpacks meet once a month for a weeknight on campus to break bread, engage in conversations, and participate in activities. Between monthly meetings, mentors are encouraged to continue their conversations by email, have lunch on campus with their student, and attend extracurriculars and sporting events.Mentors and their student make a year-long commitment to work together. After that time, they are encouraged to continue with the program in both 7th and 8th grade. Many of the more than 85 students who have participated in the program since its inception in 2019 are appreciating long-lasting relationships with their mentors.
