A bit about us:
My client is an established energy services and technology organization that has served the multifamily industry for more than 25 years.
The company partners with multifamily developers, owners, operators, and property management organizations to improve the financial and operational performance of apartment communities through energy infrastructure, utility management, submetering, data, and technology solutions.
The organization currently supports hundreds of multifamily communities across multiple states and is entering an aggressive growth phase focused on expanding into new markets, territories, and product offerings.
Texas represents a significant growth opportunity, with dedicated Regional Sales Managers being added in both Houston and Dallas–Fort Worth.
Why join us?
The Regional Sales Manager is a true hunter and territory builder responsible for establishing and growing the company's presence within the local multifamily market.
This individual will develop relationships with multifamily developers, owners, operators, property management companies, and asset managers while owning the complete sales process from prospecting through contract execution.
This is not an account-management or inbound-lead role.
Successful RSMs will create at least 50% of their own pipeline, develop strategic relationships throughout their territory, and sell complex solutions around NOI improvement, cost savings, operational efficiency, risk reduction, and long-term asset performance.
The position is remote within the assigned market with significant local client interaction, networking, association involvement, and industry events.

What I'm Looking For
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience with a demonstrated ability to hunt, develop a territory, and close complex business.
Direct experience in submetering or utility services is valuable, but it is not required. We are particularly interested in people who already sell into the multifamily ecosystem and have meaningful relationships with developers, owners, operators, and property management organizations.
Relevant backgrounds may include energy services, utility management, submetering, PropTech, smart apartment technology, IoT, access control, building products, facilities solutions, construction services, commercial real estate, or other solutions sold directly to multifamily organizations.
Above all, I'm looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, competitive, persistent, and comfortable creating their own opportunities. You should be capable of operating independently without being micromanaged and genuinely enjoy getting into the market, meeting people, building relationships, and turning those relationships into long-term business.
Compensation & Benefits
$120,000–$150,000 base salary + uncapped commission
The commission structure rewards increased production, creating significant upside for sellers capable of developing large owner, developer, and portfolio relationships.
Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, 4 weeks PTO, 401(k) with employer match, cell phone reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.
Location: Remote / market-based in Houston or Dallas–Fort Worth, with regular local travel and periodic out-of-market industry events.
