    Description

    This is a PRN Night Position

    Compensation Range: $40.36 to $60.54

    Position Classification:  Non-Exempt

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

    Supervisory-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:

    Position-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities:

    · Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

    · Requires prioritization and critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

    · Complies with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines.

    · Uses evidence-based practices and competence to collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality outcomes and coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

    · Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations.

    · Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.

    · Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

    · Practice according to professional and ethical standards as noted in the ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act.

    · Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships and engage in patient and family teaching as appropriate

    · Adheres to the MRH attire and dress code in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

    · Exhibits initiative and self-motivation; maintains a consistent level of productivity and manages time and responsibilities effectively.

    · Completes all required annual education, training, in-services, and licensure/certification updates; actively participates in departmental and organizational meetings or reviews meeting minutes as required.

    · Maintains strict patient confidentiality at all times.

    · Reports to work punctually and completes assigned duties within established timeframes.

    · Actively contributes to departmental and organization-wide performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives.

    · Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to departmental, hospital, state, and federal standards and policies.

    · Follows all infection control, safety, and risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    · Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver’s license).

    · Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

    · Must successfully pass a background check.

    · Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).

    · Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment.

    EDUCATION, LICENSURE(S), AND CERTIFICATION(S)

    Required    Preferred

    ☒                 â˜ Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license.

    ☒                 â˜ Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire).

    ☒                 â˜ Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or be obtained within six (6) months of hire).

    ☒                 â˜ Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire).

    ☒                 â˜ Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire).

    ☒                 â˜ Current STABLE certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire).

    ☒                 â˜ Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire).

    ☐                 â˜’ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.

    EXPERIENCE

    Required     Preferred

    ☐                  ☒ Two (2) years hospital nursing experience.

    ☐                  ☒ One (1) year Emergency Department (ED) or Critical Care Nursing experience.
