Shift: Full Time, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Join our Maternal Services team as a Registered Nurse Float! In this role, you will coordinate and provide patient care across assigned units within the Maternal Child division under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Patient Care Manager.

As part of the interdisciplinary team, you will use your nursing knowledge and skills to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and the nursing philosophy at UnityPoint Health.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care
  • Assess patients’ and families’ needs, provide education, and coordinate appropriate referrals to ensure continuity of care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care for assigned patients
  • Delegate and provide direction to other healthcare team members while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation while promoting patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
 
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Diploma from an RN program.

License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state.
    • Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
  • Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must possess and maintain ACLS
