The Unit Secretary transcribes selected physician orders, performs order entry on the computer, schedules diagnostic tests and therapies for patients, assembles admission and discharge charts and maintains patient medical records, completes documentation for billing, answers telephone calls, provides routine approved information via telephone and in person and relays other calls and messages to appropriate staff. In addition to a wide range of traditional hospital services, MercyOne Clinton provides a continuum of care with specialized services in wound care, radiation oncology, dialysis, imaging, sleep disorders, therapy services, and skilled care.
