USPI's East Portland Surgery Center is looking for a full time Registered Nurse Procedure Room to join our team!!

 

East Portland Surgery Center is one of Portland’s leading multi-specialty surgery centers, performing cases in pain management, GI, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, gynecology, ENT & Spine. Our facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). 

 

What You Will Do  (Job Summary):

The Registered Nurse Procedure Roomis responsible for all patient care in the Procedure Room and working with the physician to deliver a successful procedure and outcome for the patient.

 

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • ·       Managing procedure room(s) to ensure the rooms are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, cleaning, etc.
  • ·       Administers medication as ordered by physician, following the Moderate Sedation policy
  • ·       Safely monitors and documents care of patients undergoing Moderate Sedation in accordance with policy and procedure and guidelines of care.

 

Monday-Friday work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Required Skills
  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license and can practice in Oregon
  • 2 + years experience in Procedure Room 
  • 4+ years RN experience
  • Experience in basic and advanced procedures and IV sedation experience 
  • Experience with medical outpatient procedures 
  • BLS and ACLS accredited by AHA required
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
