The Regional Clinical Manager (RCM) is a field-based role responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and development to a clinical nurse educator team focused on educating healthcare professionals on a newly prescribed HIV PrEP therapy.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of TRICARE policies and procedures, knowledge of Case Management, Utilization Management, and Quality Management practices and principles, and knowledge of Managed Care concepts, alternative care treatments, and community resources. • Research and investigate medical issues as they relate to potential fraud and abuse cases, to include perform anti-fraud and abuse pre-payment reviews or post-payment reviews.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day office and clinical operations, ensuring continuity of services, completion of daily and weekly tasks, and appropriate staff coverage during absences.
• Review, approve, and follow up on clinical documentation including plans of care, evaluations, OASIS, 485s, chart audits, complaints, and quality improvement reports; address documentation deficiencies as needed.

Together, our 120,000 caregivers (all employees) serve in over 50 hospitals, over 1,000 clinics and a full range of health and social services across Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington. Under the direction of the Manager for Clinical Quality Improvement, utilizes data sets and information to identify opportunity and successfully mobilize clinical and other resources to achieve improvements.

Other Activities (not covered above): All APPs are expected to support the clinical, education, and research mission of OHSU through routine clinical care that includes working with students, trainees, and patients participating in research, consistent with their role, scope of practice, and applicable contract and institutional policies. This role is structured to meet contract-defined work expectations of 85.6 12.5-hour inpatient shifts and 70.1 4-hour clinic sessions for a 0.8 cFTE, inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holiday coverage, aligned with the clinical coverage model and patient care needs of the service.
