Required Skills:
  • Valid RN license with current certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS)
  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience, including telemetry
  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and EKG competency (must pass EKG exam prior to start)
  • Ability to manage non-titrating cardiac drips, wounds, drains, trachs, central lines, and dialysis access
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system
  • Familiarity with wound care and peripheral blood draws
  • Ability to adapt and float between units as needed

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Current RN license with applicable state licensure
  • At least 2 years of recent inpatient acute care experience in a telemetry or med-surg setting

Other Requirements:
  • COVID-19 PPE provided; adherence to infection control protocols
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekend, 2-3 holidays per year, and shift rotations (4 days one week, 3 days next)
  • Willingness to work on-unit orientation and complete initial hospital orientation
  • Must be separated for at least one year if previously employed as a permanent staff nurse; first-time travelers require 2 years of permanent staff experience in acute care
  • Access to free parking and scrubs in Pewter color; badges worn above the waist at all times
