Registered Nurse - Telemetry

What You'll Do:
As a Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring and caring for patients using advanced equipment, responding swiftly to emergencies, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team. Your role will be vital in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through attentive, skilled nursing care tailored to both adult and pediatric populations.

Required Skills:
  • 2-3 years of nursing experience in a telemetry or acute care setting
  • Proven ability to care for both adult and pediatric patients comfortably
  • Current BLS, PALS, NCI, and ACLS certifications
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
  • Experience with BD Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and central pulse oximetry monitoring
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to codes and Rapid Response Teams

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience working with both adult and pediatric patients in a telemetry unit
  • Knowledge of hospital-based crash cart checks and intensive care protocols
  • Familiarity with support services such as respiratory therapy and intensivists

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred
  • At least 2 years of professional nursing experience in a telemetry or similar acute care setting

Other Requirements:
  • Valid state RN license
  • Ability to work weekends on a rotational basis and participate in holiday shifts
  • Willingness to work within or below scope of practice when floating to other units
  • Pass hospital orientation including EPIC modules and department-specific shifts
  • Scrub color: Ceil Blue and/or Royal Blue

  • This position starts on 05/18/2026, offering a competitive hourly rate of $46.90, with comprehensive benefits and weekly pay through direct deposit.
