Hours Per Week: 36 Hours/Week
Hiring Range: $34.60 - $46.29/hr.
Starting Rate: $42.79/hr., this rate includes shift differentials.
The posted pay range contains shift differentials.
- Weekday evening shift - additional 10% plus $2.00 per hour
- Weekday night shift - an additional 15% plus $3.00 per hour
- Weekend day shift – an additional 10%
- Weekend evening & night shifts – an additional 21%
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.
- Implements and monitors patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities.
- Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.
- Educates the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.
- Responds to emergency resuscitation team code.
Education:
- Associate's degree, requires Licensed Respiratory Therapist
- New York Board of Respiratory Therapy
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Required Credential(s)
- BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist • New York Board of Respiratory Therapy
Preferred Credential(s):
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRC).
