Tax Manager – Public Accounting (Fully Remote)

Position Overview

A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its team in a fully remote capacity. This is an opportunity for an experienced tax professional to take on a leadership role, work directly with clients, and contribute to the continued development of the firm's tax practice.

The ideal candidate has a strong public accounting background, experience managing tax engagements, and the ability to oversee complex tax work while providing guidance and support to other team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax engagements from planning through completion.

• Review individual, partnership, S corporation, and C corporation tax returns.

• Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns.

• Provide tax planning, research, and consulting services to clients.

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

• Research and resolve complex tax issues.

• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to staff and senior-level team members.

• Monitor engagement timelines and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.

• Stay current on federal and state tax laws, regulations, and developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• CPA license preferred.

• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.

• Previous experience reviewing tax returns and managing client engagements.

• Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation.

• Experience with partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a remote environment.
