Residency Trained Flight Surgeon

Officer Training School 5.5 weeks Military Training Location Maxwell AFB, AL A Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or a doctor of osteopathy (DO) degree from an approved school of medicine or osteopathy

• Completion of a residency, a suffix-specific residency and the primary course in aerospace medicine
• Completion of Mission Qualification Training (MQT) and designated Fully Mission Capable
• Obtain and maintain clinical privileges after completing Graduate Medical Education (GME) training at the first duty station
• Certified initial flying Class II flight surgeon physical exam
• Possess an aeronautical rating of Flight Surgeon, Senior Flight Surgeon, or Chief Flight Surgeon
• Medical Treatment Facility/Senior Group Practice (MTF/SGP) certification and MAJCOM/SGP approval
• A state license to practice medicine
• Completion of Officer Training School
• Must be at least 18 years old and not have reached your 48th birthday
