RN – Medical Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12 Hours
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity Medical Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients requiring cardiac monitoring and specialized medical management in a fast-paced acute care setting.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and patient status changes
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and patient safety guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License
- BLS Certification (AHA)
- ACLS Certification (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification preferred/required upon hire
- Experience in Stepdown, PCU, Telemetry, or Acute Care setting preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Strong cardiac monitoring and telemetry skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
