Position Summary:

The Robotic Welder is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining robotic welding equipment used in the fabrication of stainless steel components and assemblies. This position ensures that welded products meet quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements. The Robotic Welder will load and unload parts, perform quality inspections, make basic machine adjustments, and work closely with production and quality teams to support efficient manufacturing operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate robotic welding cells according to established work instructions and production schedules.
  • Load raw materials and components into welding fixtures and remove completed welded assemblies.
  • Monitor robotic welding operations to ensure consistent weld quality and equipment performance.
  • Perform visual inspections of welds and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Measure parts using basic inspection tools such as tape measures, calipers, gauges, and templates.
  • Identify and report welding defects, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance of robotic welding equipment and work areas.
  • Change welding consumables, including wire spools and contact tips, as required.
  • Follow established procedures for fixture setup and part changeovers.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or machine operation experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, drawings, and production documents.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use measuring devices and inspection tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience operating robotic welding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with stainless steel products.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
  • May involve exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Salary Range: $27-$29/hour, plus shift differential
