This is a founding SDR seat at a fast-growing AI company that builds personalized small language models for small businesses and independent professionals. The business is launching an enterprise motion alongside its consumer product, targeting 60 enterprise deals by year end, and inbound interest is already outpacing what the current team can handle. You will own outbound prospecting across three buyer profiles, independent experts scaling their brand, licensed professionals whose expertise is their product, and companies trying to capture institutional knowledge, while also providing first-touch support for smaller accounts after close. This is a builder role, not a script-reading role.
The ideal candidate is hungry, personable, and genuinely AI-native. You do not need a long resume; new graduates are very welcome here. What matters is that you understand and care about AI and technology, you bring the drive and competitiveness of someone used to performing under pressure, and you can hold a real conversation with a sophisticated buyer. An athletic background is a strong positive signal. If you have seen early-stage go-to-market chaos before and liked it, you will feel at home.
Key Responsibilities
Run high-volume, multi-channel outbound sequences (email, LinkedIn, cold call) against defined ideal customer profile lists using tools such as Clay and Artisan
Qualify both inbound and outbound leads against criteria you help refine as market signal comes in
Manage the full outbound cycle from first touch through a clean handoff of qualified opportunities to lead sellers
Own first-line onboarding and light account support for smaller post-close accounts, filling a customer success gap until that function is built
Log all activity and pipeline data accurately so leadership can make resourcing decisions quickly
Bring creative prospecting angles that a standard playbook would not surface
Collaborate directly with senior leadership and the Head of Go-to-Market on strategy and larger deal pursuits
Required Skills & Experience
0 to 2 years of B2B SaaS sales experience in an SDR, BDR, or equivalent outbound role; new graduates who are motivated and AI-native are welcome
Demonstrated comfort with high-volume, multi-channel outreach including cold calling and LinkedIn
Genuine fluency with AI tools and technology, not necessarily enterprise sales AI but a real understanding of the space
Ability to work on-site 5 days per week in Los Altos, CA or San Francisco, CA
Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (U.S. citizen or permanent resident)
Consistent tenure record; multiple roles of one year or less is a flag
Preferred Skills
Background in AI-focused companies or early-stage startups where you helped build go-to-market from zero
Experience at knowledge or learning platforms or other consumer-to-enterprise SaaS businesses
Athletic or competitive background that demonstrates discipline, coachability, and drive
