Sales Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to new and existing clients throughout REPAY's pre-sales and client implementation lifecycle experience. The Sales Engineer partners with Sales Executives and Account Management to understand prospects' and customers' strategic initiatives, serves as the subject matter expert on REPAY's technology platform and services model, and works cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Solution Engineering, and Implementations to propose and scope solutions that transform the merchant's payment experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with Sales Executives and Account Management to understand potential business opportunities at customers and prospects, including researching and understanding prospects' strategic initiatives and identifying potential solutions for the prospect's organization.

• Serve as the sales team subject matter expert on REPAY's technology platform and services model in both internal and customer-facing aspects.

• Develop and deliver demos of REPAY technology solutions for prospects and customers.

• Prepare and develop technical presentations to explain our company's products or services to customers.

• Propose and scope solutions that transform the merchant's payment experience.

• Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to guide key functionality and benefits into core business value messages.

• Solicit and log client feedback and evaluate the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target customers.

• Provide feedback to the Product team about what the market is talking about.

• Work with the sales executive to create relationships with customer contacts in technical and operational roles and build credibility with all decision makers.

• Work closely with the Solution Engineering and Implementations teams to kick off new implementations and ensure all relevant solution design is documented and complete.

• Assist the sales team with answering RFP technical questions.

• Work with the sales team to document product gaps during the sales process and communicate gaps to PNM product and engineering prior to contract signature.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• 4+ years of technical sales position such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Systems Engineering, Solutions Consultant
• Strong technical background and ability to understand technical concepts and effectively communicate them to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and propose innovative solutions
• Experience managing workflows, status reporting and client ticketing, with JIRA, Salesforce, or other similar applications
• A team player that is capable of high performance and flexibility working in a dynamic and metrics driven environment. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment
