Sales Engineer - Design Build

Position Overview

We are looking for a technically skilled professional to identify, estimate, and sell design-build projects, focusing on mechanical solutions for commercial and industrial projects. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge and sales acumen to develop customized solutions and foster long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and sell design-build projects and mechanical solutions.
• Conduct needs assessments and present tailored proposals.
• Negotiate contracts and manage the sales process to close new business.
• Follow up on leads and provide updates to sales and operations teams.
• Attend client and project meetings for clear communication and coordination.
• Collaborate with sales leadership and internal teams.
• Participate in project estimating and review proposal specifications.
• Coordinate with business units for comprehensive MEP solutions.
• Review contracts and ensure documentation completion.
• Support project turnover for a smooth transition to operations.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training and industry events.
• Track sales activities and opportunities in the CRM system.
• Meet sales targets through prospecting and effective strategies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Preferred Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Minimum three years of direct HVAC or related sales experience, or seven years of field service technician experience.
• Strong negotiation, closing, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and develop technical solutions.
