Sales Manager

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Houston, TX area. Our client is seeking a Sales / Business Development Manager to lead growth in the market.

STEEL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED: candidates must have experience working in a structural steel or miscellaneous/ornamental metals fabrication or erection environment.

Position Responsibilities:

- Lead sales and business development strategy

- Grow revenue with new and existing customers

- Manage key accounts and relationships

- Lead or support the sales team

- Partner with estimating and operations on pursuits

Position Essential Job Functions:

- Build and manage the sales pipeline

- Set and track sales goals

- Negotiate contracts and pricing

- Represent the company at industry events

- Report sales forecasts to leadership

Position Skills:

- Required: 5+ years of experience in the structural steel or metals fabrication/erection industry

- 5+ years of B2B sales experience in steel, metals, metal buildings, or construction

- Proven record of meeting sales goals

- Strong negotiation and relationship skills

- Sales leadership experience a plus

- Willingness to travel
