School Counselor

V.J. & Angela Skutt Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated School Counselor to join our counseling team. The school counselor supports the mission of Catholic education by serving students in the academic, career, and social/emotional domains. Responsibilities include implementing a comprehensive guidance program, coordinating college planning and discernment, supporting the school's MTSS framework and Success Study Hall program, and managing IEP/504 accommodations in collaboration with local school districts and staff. The counselor communicates regularly with students, parents, faculty, and outside professionals, and maintains accurate student records in accordance with diocesan policy.
Candidates must possess knowledge of Catholic Church teachings, adolescent development, college admissions processes, and standardized assessment. A Master's Degree in Counseling is preferred; applicants currently enrolled in or willing to enroll in a Master's Counseling program will also be considered.
This position reports to the Principal.

Additional Information
Start Date: August 2026
Salary is commensurate with education and experience, placed on the Skutt Catholic teacher salary scale. Counselors also receive additional compensation for summer days worked beyond the standard contract.
