Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Admissions Operations and the Administrative Director, Admissions, the Admissions Outreach Specialist conducts outreach to prospective Southeast Community College students, including the recruitment and retention of academically or financially disadvantaged students, target populations (i.e., military veterans, home-schooled, athletes, adult learners, etc.); serves as a liaison between College departments, local high schools, and the community; and organizes College outreach efforts to community agencies and other organizations that may benefit from College programs. Represent the College at community functions and organizational meetings; develop, organize, coordinate, and attend workshops, forums, conferences, and related College-sponsored events; and attend appropriate conferences, workshops, and staff and committee meetings as directed.
