Description / Position Overview

SEASONAL Front Desk Support (PT Admin Support) - Westside Community Center

In this position, you will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations, after hour rentals (evening and weekend), and social media/marketing efforts at Westside Community Center.

This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Workers Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees Retirement Association)

As Front Desk Support, you will:

  • Welcome visitors to the Center and answer general and specific questions about the Center and its related programs
  • Answer phones and manage shared email inbox for the Center
  • Be present as a staff representative for facility events and programs
  • Assist users with various event and program needs during their events and programs
  • Perform minor custodial duties post-event/program
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of facility events and programs, including organizing chairs, tables, projectors, program supplies, decorations, etc.
  • Utilize registration system to enroll community members in activities and collect fees
  • Perform basic cash handling duties, collecting cash and cash equivalents, in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in customer service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a community center environment
  • Experience working as a building monitor or special event support
