Description / Position Overview

Pikes- Peak Americas Mountain (PPAM) PT Administrative Support (Seasonal Position)

About this job: In this position, you will provide clerical and customer service support for Pikes Peak-Americas Mountain.

Job type: Seasonal

Work schedule: Normal work hours will vary based on department needs. At least one weekend day will be required, and work hours will occur between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Position scheduled for up to 32 hours per week (may work additional hours as needed).

Work location: 5069 Pikes Peak Hwy, Cascade, CO 80809, USA

Open until filled.

This is a seasonal (at-will) position with benefits limited to those required by applicable state and federal laws, which include Workers Compensation, Medicare, Unemployment Insurance, and PERA (Public Employees Retirement Association).

Approximate dates of employment will be April - December. Scheduled hours will vary based on department needs. Total hours worked will not exceed 1,500 annually.

Essential Job Functions - the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:

  • Answer questions about Pikes Peak - Americas Mountain and the Pikes Peak Region including what to see and do in the region
  • Assist administrative team with accounts payable and receivable work functions.
  • Assist administrative team with credit card reconciliations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for walk-in customers that enter the administrative offices.
  • Assist with special event logistics including making phone calls to confirm details and communications to PPAM team members.
  • Other duties as assigned

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:

  • Knowledge of modern office technology
  • Knowledge of proper English usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • Knowledge of Adobe software
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships

This position requires the candidate to be highly motivated with exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver's license not subject to restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Customer service experience working in recreation tourism
  • Experience working in a business office environment
