This position will report to the CFO and be responsible for leading the company's accounting function and will help guide General Oncology through its next phase of growth. The role will lead the quarter end close process and manage General Oncology's relationship with KPMG, including leading the annual Audit and General Oncology's tax compliance requirements. The successful candidate will have significant experience with QuickBooks and NetSuite and a proven track record of success in the biopharmaceutical sector.Key responsibilitiesOwn and manage the general ledger, including timely and accurate month-end, quarter end, and year end close processesPrepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAPManage AP, AR, payroll, credit card, and expense allocationsEnsure compliance with internal policies and GAAP requirementsSupport quarter end variance analysis and reconciliation proceduresLiaise with external auditors and tax preparers during audits and tax filingsMaintain and improve internal controls and accounting proceduresLead or support the eventual ERP system transition from QuickBooks to NetSuiteQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or advanced degree requiredAt least 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical industryStrong knowledge or US GAAP and internal control frameworksProficiency with QuickBooks and readiness for NetSuite implementationComfortable in a hands‑on role with a growing, fast‑paced organizationDetail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skillsAbility to communicate financial information to various stakeholders clearlyLocationThe ideal candidate will be located in the greater Boston, MA area and be willing to come into the office.CompensationA competitive base salary with bonus incentives that are performance‑based, and a stock option grant that is tied to the growth of the company and partnership milestones.#J-18808-Ljbffr
