This role plays a critical part in supporting the strategic decision‑making process by providing accurate financial information, conducting analysis and collaborating with operations on the preparation and analysis of cost records and reports, the end of month close functions and developing budgets & forecasts.Key ObjectivesProvides support and finance advice to site‑based operations teams, responding and acting upon finance related queries.Conduct month end close functions including, but not limited to, preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cost control and variance analysis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.Collaborate with operations to develop budgets and forecasts.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.Communicate operational financial results and trends to non‑financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.Develop and maintain financial models to support operational strategic initiatives.Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits.Continuously evaluate finance procedures to increase effectiveness and efficiency.Confidence and understanding of payroll procedures ‘end to end' to provide support to the payroll function.Education, Qualifications and TrainingBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldPreference will be given to candidates with a CPA or CMA designation.Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, with at least 5 years' experienceStrong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices (GAAP/IFRS).Proficient in financial modelling and analysisExcellent knowledge of MS Excel and financial softwareProficiency in ERP software and experience with large scale ERP (i.e. SAP or Pronto) is preferredAnalytical skillsTeam collaboration.
