You will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to handle large data volumes, and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and QualificationsMonth-End Close ActivitiesParticipate in month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries for accuracy and completenessEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with internal deadlinesReconciliation & AnalysisPrepare and review complex monthly reconciliations of assigned balance sheet accountsReconcile general ledger accounts, post journal entries, and assist with preparation of financial statementsReconcile intercompany accounts and post eliminating journal entriesFinancial Compliance & ReportingSubstantiate financial transactions by providing audit-ready documentationPrepare schedules and supporting documentation for quarterly reviews and year-end auditsResearch issues, clarify information, and prepare detailed financial analysisFixed Assets & Revenue RecognitionManage accruals, fixed assets, and revenue recognition processes in compliance with company policies and GAAPProcess ImprovementIdentify and implement efficiencies in the month-end close cycle to reduce process timePropose and execute enhancements to accounting processes and toolsCollaboration & LeadershipProvide mentoring and support to junior accounting staff to support professional growth and developmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and streamline processesAdditional Responsibilities & MiscellaneousPerform other duties and special projects as assigned to support accounting and finance objectivesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within large organizations ($2B+ revenue)Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accountingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas) and intermediate skills in Word and OutlookProven ability to work with and manipulate large datasets in ExcelExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesPublic accounting experience preferredExperience with ERP systems; familiarity with Ceridian Dayforce is a plusCPA certification or progress toward CPA designation preferredStrong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsCompensation And BenefitsReports ToAccounting ManagerCompensationThe listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state.
