Description

A growing and dynamic organization in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This role will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure accuracy of financial records
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
  • Support internal and external audit requests
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analyses
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience leading month-end close activities
  • Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Oracle, SAP, or similar
  • CPA designation or CPA track is a plus
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

  • Experience working in a mid-sized or large corporate environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proven track record of process improvement and problem-solving
