Senior Accountant

JOB SUMMARY: Sycamores provides a spectrum of equitable mental health services through various programs to multicultural populations of all acuities. Although it serves a variety of consumers, the agency focuses primarily on providing care to low-income, high at- risk youth.\n \nProvide general accounting support as part of the Accounting Team with responsibilities, accountability, and processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sycamores\u2019 policies and procedures.\n \nStarting Pay Range: \n$80,000 - $90,000 per year for Full-Time employment (starting pay will be based on previous work experience and educational background.)\n \nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (These are the essential job functions for this position. Employees hired for this position must be able to perform the essential function of this job without imposing significant risk of substantial harm to the health or safety of themselves or others.)\n \nManage cash flow forecast.\n \nAnalyze and reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.\n \nPrepare journal entries to support month end close.\n \nManages fixed assets and depreciation.\n \nPerform monthly bank reconciliations and follow up on open items.\n \nPerforms horizontal analysis.\n \nPrepare year end close schedules and assist with fiscal audit.\n \nAssist with implementing and maintaining internal controls and procedures in accordance with GAAP and Auditor-Controller handbook.\n \nParticipates in annual budgeting project.\n \nPerforms other related duties as assigned.\n \nNOTE: The job duties listed are typical examples of the work performed by positions in this job classification.
