WORK SITE STATUS: Hybrid Work Schedule (1-2 days/week)PAY RANGE: $85,000 to $110,000 base salaryJOB DESCRIPTION CV Resources, in partnership with our entertainment client, seeks an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to support the accounting department. Reporting to the Controller, this role will play a key role in assisting with the monthly and quarterly financial statement closes. The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit schedules, while collaborating with cross‑functional partners to support an accurate and efficient close.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT General Ledger (G/L) Accounting Prepare journal entries.Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.Review bank reconciliations and ensure that all cash entries have been recorded.Support ad‑hoc requests for the Accounting & Finance functions.Audit & Compliance Prepare audit and roll‑forward schedules for external audits.Research accounting pronouncements to validate proper GAAP treatment.Prepare revenue recognition memo for new theatrical titles.Accept any assignment as given by management.REQUIREMENTS OF THE SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT Required CPA (active or inactive), CPA in progress, or CPA‑eligible status.At least one (1) 1–3 year of public accounting experience with engagements at entertainment companies OR corporate accounting experience in the entertainment industry.Preferred Current or prior work experience at a public accounting firm (Big 4 or mid‑tier).Theatrical film and digital distribution experience.Exposure to production accounting.SKILLS OF THE SENIOR STAFF ACCOUNTANT Required Technical Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little supervision.Preferred Technical Proficient understanding of NetSuite.#J-18808-Ljbffr
