We are seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to lead accounting operations for one of our manufacturing sites. This role will be responsible for the full accounting cycle at the site level, including close, reporting, and cost accounting.In addition, this position will support the Director of Accounting, supporting broader initiatives across the Metal Roofing Group, including process standardization, implementation of best practices, and system improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesSite‑Level Accounting & CloseOwn and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processPrepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsEnsure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger in compliance with GAAPPrepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedulesManufacturing & Cost AccountingManage inventory accounting, standard costing, and COGS analysisAnalyze production variances including material, labor, and overheadPartner with site leadership to understand cost drivers and improve profitabilitySupport cycle counts and inventory control processesFP&A SupportAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly variance analysisProvide insights into site performance, including revenue, margins, and expensesSupport ad‑hoc financial analysis and reporting requestsIntercompany & Corporate CoordinationRecord and reconcile intercompany transactionsAssist with intercompany eliminations and corporate reporting requirementsSupport consolidation activities and provide required schedules to corporateProcess Improvement & Strategic SupportAct as a backup to the Accounting Manager on cross‑site initiativesSupport implementation of best practices and standardization across locationsAssist with ERP/system improvements, reporting automation, and process enhancementsIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and controlsCompliance & ControlsEnsure adherence to company policies, GAAP, and internal controlsSupport internal and external auditsMaintain proper documentation and audit trailsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance4–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of cost accounting and inventory processesFamiliarity with intercompany accounting is a plusDetail‑oriented with strong ownership mindsetAbility to work independently while supporting broader team objectivesStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsEffective communication and collaboration with operations and finance teamsAdaptability and willingness to take on cross‑functional initiativesThe information in this description indicates the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
