We are seeking an experienced public accounting professional with strong technical accounting expertise, client advisory experience, and the ability to review, mentor, and lead accounting engagements for small business clients.

This opportunity is ideal for accounting professionals who enjoy combining technical accounting knowledge with client relationship management, financial statement preparation, engagement oversight, and team collaboration. Depending on experience and qualifications, candidates may be considered at the Senior Accountant, Supervisor, or Manager level.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting client accounting operations, overseeing engagement quality, and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting while serving as a trusted resource to both clients and internal teams.

The Senior Accountant / Supervisor / Manager will oversee accounting and bookkeeping review engagements, compilation projects, financial reporting activities, and client advisory support for a diverse portfolio of small business clients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing bookkeeping and accounting work prepared for small business clients.
• Overseeing monthly accounting engagements and account reconciliation processes.
• Performing cleanup accounting projects and resolving accounting discrepancies.
• Assisting with year-end financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Ensuring financial records are accurate, complete, and properly documented.
• Managing compilation engagements and supporting review engagements.
• Reviewing financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Providing accounting guidance and constructive feedback to team members.
• Working directly with clients to address accounting and financial reporting questions.
• Participating in client meetings and supporting advisory discussions.
• Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships.
• Managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Monitoring project deadlines, engagement schedules, and workflow priorities.
• Identifying accounting issues, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Utilizing accounting technologies to improve workflow efficiency and client service.
• Maintaining organized client documentation and engagement records.

• Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong accounting and bookkeeping expertise.
• Experience supporting small business clients.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with compilation engagements.
• Experience assisting with or supporting review engagements.
• Ability to review accounting work and provide feedback to team members.
• Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Experience managing multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Proficiency with accounting software and technology platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No current or future visa sponsorship requirements.

• CPA designation.
• CPA candidate actively pursuing licensure.
• 7+ years of public accounting experience.
• Experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff.
• Strong QuickBooks experience.
• Experience utilizing UltraTax, Canopy, or similar platforms.
• Experience participating in client advisory discussions.
• Experience reviewing financial statements for compliance and accuracy.
• Leadership experience within a public accounting environment.
• Demonstrated employment stability and progressive career advancement.

• Candidates with frequent job changes, excessive employment gaps, or unstable work histories will not be accepted or interviewed.
