Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Senior Accounting Associate to join their dynamic team.Position Responsibilities:Senior Accountants will have at least 3-5 years of experience in public or private accounting, preferably with real estate industry experience.Some accounting work will be supervised. Senior Accountants will begin to deal directly with client personnel with guidance.Senior Accountants will prepare financial statements as well as perform tax services and consulting for clients.No supervisory skills are required.Operate effectively within client accounting systems, including Yardi (required) and SageIntacct (preferred), to support day-to-day accounting and reporting needs.Prepare/write up full monthly work for more complex clientsCommunicate with team members for missing items for monthly workCalculate, review, and analyze financial ratiosMaintain client relationship and discuss open itemsQualifications:Experience with financial statements and tax returns is requiredPrior experience in public accounting is strongly preferredPrior experience working with real estate clients is highly preferredBachelors degree is strongly preferredStrong attention to detailAbility to work well in a team environmentAbility to be flexibleAbility to think criticallyAbility to handle more than one project / task at a timeAbility to learn different software and understand how they work and improve the firmProficient communication skills to talk to clients and team membersEssential Functions:Prepare/write up full monthly work for more complex clientsCommunicate with team members for missing items for monthly workCalculate, review, and analyze financial ratiosComplete more complex business and personal tax returnsBegin client relationship and discuss open itemsWork closely on income tax projections, cash flow projections, and buy/sell transactionsPreferred Attributes:Background in public accounting or professional services.Experience with real estate investment structures, REITs, and fund accounting.Proven ability to drive efficiencies and improvements within client systems and processes.$73,000 - $117,500 a yearThe salary range for this opportunity is stated above.
