Senior Accounting Manager Controller Consultant

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager/Controller Consultant

Summary: This is a senior-level accounting consulting role focused on centralizing and managing a broad set of financial activities across investments, real estate, and related entities. The position is highly hands-on, requiring ownership of day-to-day accounting while also documenting processes and improving efficiency. The role will ultimately support a transition of these responsibilities to a long-term solution, making it ideal for someone experienced in both operational accounting and process transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Centralize accounting and financial activities currently distributed across multiple team members into a single role
• Partner with finance leadership and team members to identify, document, and map existing workflows
• Lead the transition of responsibilities from multiple stakeholders to a centralized function
• Prepare processes for eventual transition to a third-party or outsourced model
• Perform accounting and bookkeeping activities across multiple asset classes, including: Investment portfolios; Real estate portfolio; Cash management and line of credit activity
• Record and track cash inflows and outflows and mark-to-market adjustments
• Manage accounting related to specialized assets, including corporate aircraft usage (tracking costs, usage, and allocations)
• Support debt accounting, including interest tracking for intercompany financing arrangements
• Execute financial transactions based on direction from external advisors (e.g., investment advisors)
• Assist in evaluating outsourcing strategies for long-term ownership of accounting activities
• Lead knowledge transfer and transition of responsibilities to an external provider
