CompanyMYTEX Polymers US CorpJob DescriptionThe Sr. Accounting Manager is responsible for monthly financial reporting and analysis, general ledger account reconciliations, and oversight of internal controls. Also assists the Director of Accounting with internal and external audits, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, and other ad hoc requests as needed.Specific Duties And ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.Manage closing activities during month‑end and year‑end to ensure timely reporting.Analyze monthly results for fluctuations and variances from budget and prior periods.Prepare various monthly management reports.Work with department leaders in completing Controls Self‑Assessment survey (J‑SOX) and make recommendations to ensure continuous improvement.Prepare monthly accruals, intercompany transactions, and other journal entries.Maintain operating and capital lease schedules.Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations.Assist with the development, planning, and evaluation of internal controls across the organization.Provide support for internal and external audits.Provide support for tax compliance – income tax, property tax, sales tax, excise tax, and foreign tax.Provide back‑up support to other areas within Accounting/Finance as needed.Comply with all applicable customer, safety, ISO/IATF 16949 QMS, and ISO14001 EMS requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.Standards Of PerformanceHigh level leadership skills with the ability to create and execute action plans.Ability to self‑manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in an accurate and timely fashion.Exercise a high level of integrity.Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.Commitment to continuous improvement.Ability to correspond with management professionally and efficiently.Ability to interact in a personable, professional, and courteous manner with all.Maintain Mytex data and information in a confidential manner.Education, Experience And TrainingEducation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with a CPA license.Experience: 10+ years of related accounting experience working in a manufacturing environment.3+ years of experience as a people leader.Experience in supervising direct reports.Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.Strong organizational, verbal, and written skills.Strong Excel skills.Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.CompensationThe salary range for this position is $117,000‑$137,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job‑related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence the base pay offered.
