This is a high-trust role responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and treasury functions, as well as administration of various assets of a sophisticated, multi-entity family office.The Senior Associate, Accounting position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role. The primary work location for this position is on-site at Buttonwood's offices in Ada, MI.Buttonwood is seeking a forward-thinking, positive and collaborative individual who possesses strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, having excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate combines accounting and administrative expertise, bringing professionalism, discretion, and a service-oriented mindset to managing our Clients' complex financial landscape.RESPONSBILITIES AccountingDaily entry of financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable dataProcess outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and proceduresProcess cash management activities, including wire transfers and daily cash monitoringReceives, verifies and reconciles expense reportsPreparing weekly and monthly cash management reportsReconciliation of vendor accounts and statementsRecords, verifies documentation, and distributes petty cashWill have both an active and supervisory role in the following functions:Administration of accounting software, Bill.com, and ConcurAdministration of bank accountsEnsure compliance with applicable regulations and internal control processesAssetsCoordinate legal entity set up and maintenance, ensuring appropriate documentation and recordkeepingCoordinate processes for personal asset management, including:Maintaining accurate and meticulous recordsEnsuring up-to-date and appropriate insuranceAssisting with asset sale/purchase transactionsIdentify and assist in process improvement and efficiency initiatives, including evaluating and maintaining up-to-date controls and proceduresLead and/or assist with additional projects, initiatives, and duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree required; Accounting or related field preferredMinimum of 5+ years administrative, accounting, or related experienceWorking knowledge of accounting systems and other database reporting tools, along with Excel proficiencyAbility to sit, stand and complete work at a computer for prolonged periods of timeELEMENTS OF SUCCESS Hands-on, highly collaborative, and comfortable in a dynamic environmentStrong verbal and written communications skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailHighly self-motivated and solution orientatedMaintains a positive attitude and pro-active, solution-oriented approachSuperior judgment and comfort level working with confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information, as well as an uncompromised commitment to the highest level of integrity and confidentialitySeniority level AssociateEmployment type Full-timeJob function Accounting/Auditing, Administrative, and Finance#J-18808-Ljbffr
