Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer (On-site)

HEPCO is seeking a Senior Embedded C++ Software Engineer for our client. This is a temp-to-permanent position requiring 100% onsite work due to the nature of the program.

• Analyze, design, develop, and modify complex embedded software, primarily using modern C++.
• Evaluate complex software designs and identify potential design flaws.
• Prepare software design documentation in accordance with established processes.
• Develop within Windows, Unix, and Linux environments.
• Work with embedded targets ranging from ARM processors to high-performance x86-64 CPUs and GPUs.
• Integrate and test software within designated target environments.
• Collaborate with a results-oriented product development team to improve existing products.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or another STEM discipline.
• At least three years of directly related software engineering experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
• Proficiency in modern C++ and object-oriented design and development.
• Experience developing software for real-time embedded hardware systems.
• Understanding of software requirements, architecture, functional decomposition, subsystem interfaces, and technology analysis.
• Experience with Windows, Unix, or Linux operating systems.
• Experience with software engineering processes and source-code control tools.
• Experience with Eclipse, Jira, DOORS, Git, or Bitbucket.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Strong technical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Motivation to learn, innovate, and continuously improve existing products.

Pay Range: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
