Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A will play a key role in forecasting, financial modeling, reporting, and decision support across multiple business units and entities.

This is a finance-first role with exposure to select accounting activities that help connect analysis directly to financial results. The ideal candidate enjoys working with complex data, building models from scratch, and partnering cross-functionally to drive actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis (Primary Focus)

  • Analyze profitability across customers, product lines, and operational segments
  • Build and maintain rolling forecasts for revenue, margin, operating expenses, and cash flow
  • Develop financial models supporting scenario planning, working capital management, and operational efficiency
  • Prepare monthly reporting packages and dashboards with clear commentary
  • Perform variance analysis and communicate key performance drivers

Consolidation & Financial Analysis Support (Secondary Focus)

  • Assist with consolidated reporting across multiple entities
  • Support month-end financial analysis and variance review
  • Collaborate with accounting to reconcile financial results and investigate discrepancies
  • Contribute to preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Partner with operations and accounting teams to align financial and operational data
  • Support planning initiatives including pricing, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Translate financial analysis into clear insights for business stakeholders

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Build scalable reporting tools and dashboards
  • Improve forecasting models and reporting workflows
  • Standardize reporting templates to support company growth
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial visibility and reporting speed

What Success Looks Like

Within the first year, the successful candidate will:

  • Build reliable rolling forecasts across multiple entities
  • Deliver clear monthly reporting that enhances leadership decision-making
  • Improve visibility into profitability, working capital, and operational performance
  • Strengthen alignment between operational activity and financial results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or hybrid finance/accounting roles
  • Experience working in multi-entity environments preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong financial modeling capabilities
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to translate large datasets into meaningful business insights
  • Experience in distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-heavy environments preferred
