Immediate need for a Senior Financial Analyst for a position in the Banking & Financial Industry. This is a 6+ month’s contract opportunity with long-term potential located in Plano,TX Please review the job description below: Job ID: 18-15912 Key Responsibilities/ Technology Experience: Serve as a financial analyst by developing a deep understanding of IT business objectives/initiatives and cost structure, providing financial analysis and modeling results, and building strong business partnership to drive key business decisions Partner with all levels of IT Management (i.e., CIO organization, Business Intelligence, Information Security, etc.) to coordinate and lead the development of Operating and Capital Expense projections: long range & annual plans, monthly forecasts, and outlooks Prepare and present the monthly IT financial results to Senior and Executive Management providing key financial insight, including but not limited to financial performance measurement results (i.e., fluctuation analysis, key performance metrics, etc.) and OpEx initiatives Guide and/or perform the financial analysis for project Cost Benefit Analyses (CBAs), Business Cases (BCs), and Value Capture Analysis (VCAs) Provide guidance to business partners on Hyperion Planning Application usage and issues resolution. Perform input (webforms, smartview submissions), ad hoc analysis (Essbase and Smartview retrievals), and reporting using Hyperion Planning Application. Perform the monthly accounting close for the IT groups (posting journal entries, preparing pre close variance report and analysis, and coordinating the close with Corporate Accounting, affiliates, and external vendors) Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with Client capitalization policy and ASC350-40 Internal Use Software Fulfill internal and external audit requests for SOX Compliance and quarterly and annual financial audits 10-15 years of related experience 4+ years of FP&A experience 2+ years of GL Accounting experience 2 years of hands-on Hyperion Planning Application (Smartview) and HFM experience Four-Year College Degree in Finance or Accounting Big 4 or National Public Accounting experience required Advanced Excel experience – macros, pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, linking, filtering Strong PowerPoint experience Ability to effectively communicate across the organization and manage multiple projects/priorities Solid foundational accounting knowledge Solid financial and analytical skills Aptitude and inclination to partner with business units that have a relationship orientation and corporate analytical functions Strong attention to detail Very polished and professional communication skills – may be interacting with senior management Preferred/ Nice-to-haves: Financial Auditing experience in Big 4 Public Accounting preferred Advanced Degree preferred (MBA) CPA HIGHLY preferred Auditing experience in Big 4 Public Accounting preferred Our client is a leading Banking & Financial Industry and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
