This role is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls in compliance with US GAAP.The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands‑on accounting leader with strong leadership skills, extensive general ledger experience, and a proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Operations & Financial ReportingLead and oversee the General Ledger accounting team, managing four or more staff membersDirect the monthly close process, including financial analysis and preparation of month‑end deliverablesEnsure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data and reportingDevelop, implement, and maintain accounting processes, procedures, and internal controlsProvide guidance on accounting matters and ensure compliance with US GAAPLeadership & Team DevelopmentTrain, mentor, and develop accounting staffPrioritize team responsibilities and manage workload across daily operations and special projectsFoster a collaborative and high-performing team environmentCompliance & Process ImprovementSupport annual financial audits and ensure audit readinessAssist with annual budget preparation and financial planning activitiesIdentify process improvement opportunities and implement operational efficienciesEnsure new business initiatives are properly integrated into accounting systems and processesCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Accounts Payable, Finance, Revenue Accounting, Fixed Assets, and other departmentsCollaborate with business leaders to support organizational objectives and financial initiativesSupport accounting and reporting requirements related to Mexico operationsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredCertified Public Accountant ( CPA ) designation requiredMinimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience covering all areas of general accountingMinimum 3 years of management or supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and US GAAPExperience managing audits, internal controls, and compliance activitiesExcellent leadership, communication, and analytical skillsProven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPreferred ExperienceExperience with SAP and understanding of integrated ERP environmentsKnowledge of Mexico accounting and reporting requirementsExperience in a manufacturing or growth-oriented corporate environmentBackground implementing process improvements and enhancing accounting controlsWork EnvironmentOnsite, Monday–Friday in San Antonio, TXFast‑paced, collaborative environment with multiple priorities and deadlinesOpportunity to lead critical accounting functions and influence organizational growth#J-18808-Ljbffr
