We are partnering with a highly innovative, well-funded technology organization seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to design and strengthen the defenses behind a sophisticated, fast-growing infrastructure environment.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity for someone who wants to shape the architecture, solve difficult problems, improve automation, and work alongside exceptional network, cloud, and security engineers. Your decisions will directly influence the reliability and security of systems operating at serious scale.
What You'll Own

• Design, implement, and improve network security architecture across data center, enterprise, and cloud environments.
• Engineer and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and trusted, untrusted, and DMZ security controls.
• Advance network segmentation and microsegmentation through traffic analysis, policy design, and access enforcement.
• Solve complex network security issues involving routing, switching, load balancing, and application traffic.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Cloud, and IT Operations teams on new systems, integrations, and architecture reviews.
• Identify opportunities for firewall automation, process improvement, and more scalable security operations.
• Use monitoring and SIEM tools to investigate network threats and strengthen response capabilities.
• Set technical standards, document security designs, and mentor other engineers.

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years of hands-on network security engineering experience in complex production environments.
• Deep understanding of firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, DMZ design, segmentation, and security architecture.
• Strong networking fundamentals: OSI model, TCP/UDP, routing, switching, and load balancing.
• Experience securing on-premises environments and at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Security monitoring/SIEM experience and a practical approach to network threat investigation.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001, or comparable hardening standards.
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions clearly and work across technical teams.

Highly Valued

• VXLAN EVPN and modern data center fabric experience.
• Firewall policy automation or infrastructure automation expertise.
• SOC operations or managed security service provider collaboration.
• CCNP Security, PCNSE, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
