    Job Summary

We’re looking for a highly-creative, results-oriented storyteller to elevate awareness and shape perception of our cutting-edge cybersecurity innovation externally. In this role, you’ll translate innovations into high-impact media coverage that reinforces Palo Alto Networks as the definitive leader in cybersecurity.

You’re a creative communicator who navigates the modern media landscape with ease and knows how to translate complex, highly technical concepts into sharp, pitchable angles, with a proven track record of securing strong coverage. You don’t rely on an outdated PR playbook; you steer end-to-end programs with minimal supervision, hold the pen on high-stakes content, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where industry moments move quickly.

As a vital part of our Global Product Communications team, you will act as a key connection point across functions and regions. You bring strong media acumen and executive presence, know how to align cross-functional stakeholders, empower regional teams, and direct agency partners to deliver outsized results.

    Your Impact

    • Drive end-to-end earned media strategy and proactive pitching to secure top-tier coverage across North American business, technology and cybersecurity publications and new media.
    • Tell incredible stories by turning complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling hooks for a diverse range of media.
    • Architect global PR toolkits, messaging frameworks, and pitch guides that empower international teams to execute aligned localized campaigns.
    • Lead major product launches and industry moments concurrently, managing complex workstreams and navigating ambiguity with minimal supervision.
    • Hold the pen on core press content and media assets with high editorial standards; prep product leads and executive spokespeople for tier-1 press interviews.
    • Establish campaign KPIs and direct agency priorities to measure execution and maximize global earned media impact.
    • Be a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to key business stakeholders.
    • Operate as a high-velocity contributor who naturally jumps in to support teammates, build cross-team consensus, and move the needle without waiting for a formal invitation.

    Qualifications

    • 12+ years of PR and communications experience, with a focus on B2B technology or cybersecurity.
    • Proven track record of directly pitching and securing meaningful media coverage.
    • Exceptional writer and storyteller who can draft first-rate assets with minimal editing required.
    • Skilled at managing senior executive spokespeople and preparing product leaders for high-stakes interviews.
    • Highly organized, self-motivated project manager capable of directing agency resources and driving multi-stakeholder launches under tight deadlines.
    • Strong collaborator with the ability to navigate matrixed organizations, manage changing priorities, and resolve cross-functional friction.
    • Ability to work under pressure to adhere to tight, last-minute deadlines and rapidly respond to breaking news cycles.
    • Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in a fast-paced environment.
