Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our client to support software development for munitions programs. This role will work closely with software engineering leadership and program engineering managers to develop embedded software for assigned contracts and projects.
- Design and develop embedded C++ software for munitions applications.
- Apply object-oriented design principles to hard real-time software development.
- Develop software for real-time operating systems (RTOS) and/or bare-metal environments.
- Follow established software engineering and development processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and program leadership to meet technical requirements and project objectives.
- Communicate technical information through discussions, documentation, and presentations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and five years of relevant experience; a master’s degree and three years of experience; or a Ph.D. and one year of experience.
- Expert-level C++ programming skills and strong object-oriented design experience.
- Experience designing and developing embedded hard real-time applications.
- Experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal development.
- Practical knowledge of software engineering processes and contemporary design and development practices.
- Familiarity with Ethernet communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to lead effective meetings, technical discussions, and presentations.
- Practical knowledge of software management and engineering development processes.
- Familiarity with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and Life Cycle Management processes.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity, including the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and requirements for obtaining and maintaining an Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Cybersecurity certification.
Security Clearance: Secret clearance is required for this position but is not required to start.

Pay Range: $65.00 - $69.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
