    Description

    The Senior Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for overseeing and managing various financial activities to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with accounting principles. This position involves performing accounting duties, analyzing financial data, and supporting the financial reporting processes.Job ResponsibilitiesParticipate in day-to-day accounting operations, such as Month End Close, reporting and general ledger account review and analysis.Responsible for reconciling assigned balance sheet accounts and resolving any discrepancies.Prepare and review journal entries around assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses in compliance with GAAP.Perform variance analysis, forecasting, identify trends and recommend improvements for operational efficiencies.Assist in the preparation for the external audit, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and recommending adjustments as necessary.Support special projects and ad-hoc financial analyses as required by management.Key InteractionsEngage with all leaders and stakeholders.Engage with all employees organizationally as needed.Partner with the Controller.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is preferred.4 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with demonstrable experience in financial analysis and reporting.Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; advanced proficiency in MS Excel.Experience in managing month-end and year-end closing processes.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
