Senior Staff Accountant – Tech Startup Opportunity *****ON-SITE IN CHICAGO, IL***** We're seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will be central to managing daily accounting operations, supporting the month‑end close, and ensuring timely, accurate financial reporting. You'll be hands‑on with accounts payable, invoice processing, and expense management, while also helping build the infrastructure of a scalable finance department. This is an exciting chance to make a direct impact in a fast‑moving startup environment and grow your career as we expand.Must Have 3–6+ years of accounting experience with strong ownership of the month‑end close process (journal entries, GL maintenance, reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting) and solid knowledge of U.S. GAAPHands‑on accounts payable experience, including invoice processing, vendor management, and approval workflowsProficiency with ERP systems such as NetSuite (preferred), QuickBooks, or Sage Intacct, plus advanced Excel skillsDetail‑oriented, proactive, and process‑improvement mindset; thrives in high‑growth environmentsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA track preferred)Responsibilities Leading key areas of the month‑end close and maintaining GL accuracyPreparing reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting schedulesManaging accounts payable workflows and vendor relationshipsSupporting ERP optimization, process improvements, and internal controlsAssisting with audits, compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration with FP&A, People, and Operations teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
