The Senior Staff Accountant supports daily Corporate Accounting operations, reconciliations, financial reporting activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with the Transactional Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, and VP of Finance to ensure the accuracy of financial data, maintain strong internal controls, and support month‑end close and workflow efficiency across the accounting team. The Senior Staff Accountant will report to the VP of Finance.Essential FunctionsEnter and maintain benefit-related billing entriesManage the Pending Vendor Credits list, including collaboration with Procurement to ensure timely resolutionPrepare and process payroll in coordination with HR and FinanceAssist with clearing open payroll tax items and ensuring compliancePerform monthly bank reconciliationsComplete credit card reconciliations and resolve variancesAssist with general ledger account reconciliations and provide support during month‑end closeSupport financial analysis activities and aid in the preparation of financial reportingAssist the Collections Specialist with resolving customer inquiriesSupport accounting process improvement initiatives across the departmentAssist with maintaining and improving procedural documentationServe as a Microsoft Dynamics power user to support team efficiency and issue resolutionCross‑train with the Transactional Accounting Team to provide emergency backup coverageOther duties as assignedRequired Job SpecificationsBachelor's Degree in AccountingMinimum 3‑6 years of directly related accounting experienceStrong analytical skills and high attention to detailProficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent verbal communication and customer service skillsDemonstrated experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferredPayroll processing experience preferredOptional/Desired QualificationsExperience supporting commercial and government contract accountingFamiliarity with IT services contracts and/or productsAbility to evaluate problems, recommend solutions, and support process improvementsStrong ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentExport Control NoticeThis position may involve access to information subject to U.S. export control laws, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
