Join our dynamic team as a Permanent Senior Tax Accountant in the Accounting and Finance industry. This challenging and rewarding role is perfect for an experienced tax professional seeking to leverage their skills and experience in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of tax preparation, federal and state tax, corporate tax returns, S Corp, 1040, Trust & Estate Tax, and individual tax or individual income tax. Experience with High Net Worth (HNW) or Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients is a must.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
1. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns (individual, corporate, and trust) for our diverse clientele, with a particular focus on High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals.
2. Analyzing tax issues and coming up with innovative solutions to tax-related problems.
3. Assisting in federal and state audits by preparing responses and defending the position of the company.
4. Keeping up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate advice to clients.
5. Proactively identifying opportunities for tax savings and other potential benefits for clients.
6. Assisting in the development of tax strategies and planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients.
7. Collaborating with other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality tax services.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Accountant position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred or EA.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax accounting role, with a focus on tax preparation, federal and state tax, corporate tax returns, S Corp, and Trust & Estate Tax.
3. Extensive experience working with High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth individuals.
4. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial information and offer practical, client-focused solutions.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner.
7. High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to identify potential tax issues and opportunities for clients.
9. A strong commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and professional development.
