Senior Tax Accountant

Ready to take your public accounting tax experience somewhere you can work on sophisticated tax matters without the traditional public accounting lifestyle? As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll work with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, partnerships, and complex investment structures while joining a small, collaborative team where your expertise will have real visibility.

You'll join an established 11-person organization that is expanding its tax team due to growth. The team currently includes a Tax Manager and two Senior Tax Accountants, and the Senior Tax Accountant will report directly to the Tax Manager while partnering with accounting professionals, clients, and outside advisors.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll:

• Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and partnerships
• Work with complex K-1s, including private equity and investment-related activity
• Manage estimated taxes, extensions, filings, and compliance deadlines
• Research technical tax matters and recommend solutions
• Respond to federal and state tax notices
• Partner with clients, accounting professionals, and outside advisors
• Support tax planning, projections, and special projects

What You'll Bring

The Senior Tax Accountant should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 4+ years of public accounting tax experience
• HNW individual, trust, and partnership tax experience
• Experience with complex K-1s
• Strong federal and state tax knowledge
• CPA and/or master's degree is a plus
• CCH Axcess experience is highly desirable
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

The Senior Tax Accountant will receive a base salary of $140,000 to $160,000, depending on experience and education, along with a strong benefits package that includes:

• 100% employer-paid medical and dental premiums for the employee

• 120+ hours of annual PTO, increasing with tenure
• Company holidays plus two floating holidays

The standard schedule is just 38 hours per week, including a five-hour Friday, with additional hours primarily during the August 15 through October 15 tax busy season.

Pay Details: $140,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
