Senior Technology Risk Manager

A leading global financial market infrastructure organization is seeking a Senior Technology Risk Manager to provide second line oversight across critical enterprise technology transformation initiatives.This individual will act as a trusted partner to Technology, Cyber Security, and Infrastructure teams- offering independent challenge and risk guidance across cloud migration, modernization, and large-scale change programs. The role is central to ensuring robust governance, control effectiveness, and risk mitigation across complex, business-critical environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide independent second line oversight across major technology and cyber transformation initiativesAssess risks associated with cloud migration, infrastructure modernisation, and enterprise-wide technology changeReview and challenge risk assessments, control frameworks, and remediation strategiesPartner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Security, and the Business to enhance governance and risk maturitySupport programme governance forums and ensure risk considerations are embedded throughout delivery lifecyclesIdentify emerging technology and cyber risks , providing actionable mitigation recommendationsDrive a culture of proactive risk management and continuous improvementRequirements10+ years' experience across Technology Risk, IT Risk, Cyber Risk, Technology Audit, or Operational RiskProven track record supporting large-scale technology transformation programmesConfidence to independently challenge and influence senior stakeholdersStrong knowledge of technology risk frameworks, controls, and governance best practicesAbility to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated environmentPreferred ExperienceExperience operating in a Second Line of Defence Technology Risk functionBackground within Financial Services, Capital Markets, or other regulated industriesExposure to cloud transformation programmes (AWS, Azure)Experience with mainframe modernisation or legacy system transformationInvolvement in infrastructure and cyber security transformation initiativesPrior experience in Technology Audit, Security Operations, or Technology OperationsIdeal CandidateA senior, commercially minded Technology Risk professional with strong experience overseeing complex technology transformation initiatives.
