About the Opportunity:

Our client is a boutique, tax-focused wealth management firm serving high-net-worth individuals and families throughout New England. The team believes that great financial planning is about much more than investments and numbers. It is about helping people make thoughtful decisions during life's biggest moments.

The firm often describes its planners as part financial planner and part financial therapist. They are looking for someone who enjoys building lasting relationships, asking meaningful questions, and becoming a trusted advisor to clients over many years.

This is not a cold business development role. The primary focus is serving an existing client base, deepening relationships, and creating opportunities for organic referrals through exceptional client service.

For the right person, this role offers significant long-term growth and the opportunity to become an important part of the firm's future.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for an established group of wealth management clients
  • Lead and participate in client meetings, helping individuals and families navigate complex financial decisions
  • Deliver comprehensive financial planning with a focus on long-term outcomes
  • Collaborate with internal planning, investment, tax, and operations professionals to provide a seamless client experience
  • Help clients implement and stay accountable to their financial plans
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and generate organic referrals
  • Provide thoughtful guidance around retirement, estate, investment, and tax-aware planning strategies
  • Adapt to evolving systems and processes while maintaining a high-touch, personalized approach
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture that values both technical excellence and human connection

Who We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate is an experienced wealth management professional who is energized by client relationships and takes pride in helping people make better financial decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in wealth management or comprehensive financial planning
  • CFP® designation or actively working toward completion
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required industry registrations and licenses
  • Strong understanding of financial planning concepts and wealth management strategies
  • Experience with tax-aware planning is highly desirable
  • Comfortable working with high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Strong communication skills and high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to ask for and cultivate referrals through trusted client relationships without relying on cold prospecting
  • Flexible and adaptable with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Team-oriented and client-focused, with the ability to partner effectively across functions
